Porch Logic is an art gallery. The gallery exists virtually in graphic layers on a computer, and can be accessed with a terminal. The first terminal is a digital canvas on the wall at Porch Logic’s Lounge.

A layer starts as a physical hand-painted artwork. The physical painting is digitally scanned and converted into a virtual layer in the gallery software. A virtual layer can then be projected onto a canvas to be used as a template for painting additional layers, so that the layers are graphically linked to each other. This forms a palimpsest of artwork that can be procedurally displayed in a mesmerizing audio/visual performance.

Layers 0 and 1 were painted by artist Sean P. Lambert onto the canvas at Porch Logic’s lounge, and are currently being blended together with the first revision of the gallery software: PL1.
